There is more to replacing the windows of a building than you might expect; even the lowest priced uPVC windows often need to be made to measure. The dimensions of window openings are rarely the same; even if they look the same they are often not 'square'. This is especially the case with older properties.

As ill-fitting windows rather defeat the object, it’s just as important to take accurate measurements as it is to fit the windows properly when they arrive. However, more often than not architraves, plaster or brickwork obscure the actual size of a window opening until you start to take the window out, making accurate measurement impossible. This is where experience starts to really count.

Fitting thousands of windows for over a decade means we have experienced most situations before. If exact measurement of window openings isn't possible our judgement enables us to make accurate estimates. This removes the risk of you ordering windows that end up being the wrong size, but still have to be paid for! Once made the sometimes heavy and bulky windows need to be delivered and installed; often at height or in awkward places. The installation needs to meet the necessary regulations, be weather tight, insulate properly, open and close correctly and look good.
